in Mind Information Resource Centre provides up to date,
easily accessible information related to mental health
and well-being, creating opportunities for people to
source information and resources which support recovery.
Trained
volunteers support visitors and callers to access the
service.

Centre includes:

to the internet

on local services
- Self-help
books and CDs

Information
Afternoons:
As well as providing information in the Centre we run
monthly Information Afternoons on a variety of topics.
They are run at health in mind, with guest speakers
from local services.
Topics
include: Anxiety Management; Benefits; Recovery; How
to Complete an Advanced Statement.
Information
Afternoons are all run by volunteers from the Resource
Centre.
If
people feel they might like some support to come along
to an Information Afternoon they are more than welcome
to bring along a companion.
Based
on feedback we now provide some Information Afternoons
targeted specifically at people who have experience
of mental health difficulties and others targeted at
workers.
